Sharon Middle School

BWC was approached to undertake a significant and challenging project in the heart of the Upper Valley of Vermont. Dubbed 'The Sharon Middle School Project', this endeavor aimed to transform a dilapidated roadway into a safe and beautiful entrance to a beloved local school.

Challenge:

The primary challenge of the Sharon Middle School Project was twofold: firstly, the need to preserve the integrity of the area. Secondly, the project required innovative solutions to integrate sustainable, eco-friendly practices, aligning with our commitment to environmental responsibility. The complex nature of this mixed-use roadway was a delicate balance between safety and functionality.

Our Solution:

Our approach began with consultation with the School and the Town of Sharon, to clearly align our objectives.

BWC was promptly contracted to remove the compromised asphalt and install 3' of crushed stone and an under drain with a new catch basin. This task was accomplished quickly and on budget. Upon inspection by the Town of Sharon not only did we meet and exceed their expectations, we were immediately contracted to repair a section of the town road leading into the school. We replaced the sub-base material and installed new dense grade and new culverts. We completed the project by paving the roadway and parking lot.

Let's build your
dream project.
